Post and Beam Construction
The same large diameter logs are used in our post and beam design. These timbers are usually exposed both inside and out as they are so unique and organic to look at and add a very special earthyness of character to the home.
The posts and beams can be cut flat to accept interior and exterior frame walls only where necessary, leaving the natural round surface exposed. This gives a more natural, relaxing appeal than other styles of building. These timbers can also be squared on all sides to give a more traditional timber frame feel.

The wall areas between the posts can be filled with brick and a coat of mortar over. Windows and doors are framed in where desired. Stonework can also be done between the posts. The brick suits well with the European standard, whereas, in North America, 2" X 6" standard frame construction would be used, covered with gypsum-board interior and stucco-finished (textured) exterior. This filling in between the structure of posts is finished generally in a white or another light color, which gives a beautiful contrast. The options are there for everyone.
